Happy Summer!
To the students I taught this year:
Thank you for a good year, and have a happy summer. I hope the summer is relaxing for all of you, and I also hope it gives you the time to reflect how your school year went. As I said often, “It is not about the grade, it is about the learning experience.” Some of you understand that well, and there are some that don’t. If the grade is more important to you, then nothing is learned. If the end result is more important then the journey, nothing is learned. My job is to hold students accountable, help you become responsible adults, and teach how to treat others with respect. I may joke and tease, but I care about all of you. This job constantly makes me reflect on the changes I need to make so I can be a better person and teacher. Each year offers new perspectives and challenges, and I hope I have met your expectations.
We all have expectations, we all have goals, we all have dreams. I hope your experiences through life allow you to fulfill all that you want and desire out of life. Just remember that every action has a consequence, whether good or bad, and it affects everyone that surrounds you. Have a good summer.
